Our range was formerly the Outback Sportsman Club. The property was purchased from the Outback owner's estate in 2011, but sadly the property had fallen into severe disrepair. Today, after years of hard work and tons of brush removal the range is in the best shape it has ever been. We still have many improvements to make to the shop, however, we continue to make advancements daily.
Improvements to the range include a new all-metal roof over the firing line, and a totally reconstructed 100 yard berm. The new berm allows shooting at 100, 200 and 300 yard targets from practically every bench.
I started shooting at the club in the 90’s and have always enjoyed the secluded, comfortable, and private shooting experienced there. The club will remain private and the membership numbers kept low. If you have become frustrated with finding other places to shoot (some clubs have a waiting list of a year or more) then we may be the place for you.
The fees are $385 per year per individual and $450 per family membership (family of 4, includes spouse and children over 12 and under 21). The club is open Wednesday through Sunday from 9 am to 6 pm, in the summer, and 9 am to 5 pm during the winter. Monday and Tuesday are reserved for maintenance. Members will be given a gate code allowing them to shoot at their pleasure. Our fees are very competitive and a private club definitely has advantages. A nearby range has an annual fee of over $500, plus a daily shooting fee - and you must qualify to become a member.
We are set up to be self-guided and self-policed. We want you to enjoy the property as if it is your own. During the year, we may host special events or classes, but the membership will be notified of the dates the range could be out of service.
Our knowledge of precision riflery and hunting is world class. Please let us know if we can help you plan your custom rifle or a once in a lifetime hunt. We are a proud sponsors of the Lone Star Outdoor News Foundation and members of the Dallas Safari Club and the NRA.
